Manufacturing Sales Manager
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Sales Manager to lead their sales team and drive the growth of manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, a proven track record in sales, and excellent leadership skills. This role is pivotal in developing and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives and increase market share.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets; provide coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports to monitor performance and guide decision-making.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations and close deals with major clients; ensure contracts are mutually beneficial and comply with company policies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and production teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sales processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales within the manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, products, and market dynamics.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets; excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities; proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
