Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with other departments to support business operations and contribute to strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
