Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead a team of AR Specialists
What is needed in this role:
- Associates or Bachelors and 5+ years of experience in AR with at least 2 years of AR Team Lead or Manager experience
- Familiarity with accounting systems (JDE a plus for this client)
- Word and Excel experience
- Recognized ERP System experience
- Strong communication, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
- Sharp analytical skills
Other responsibilities (Overview):
- Lead, develop and train collection and credit application staff
- Lead and coordinate collection and cash application functions
- Ensure collection guidelines are adhered to and issues quickly resolved
- Monitor cash receipts and application of adjustments to customer accounts
- Reduce collection cycle times (DSO) where possible
- Assist in monitoring, tracking & enforcing department policies, procedures & goals
- Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding
- Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad-debt status to account
- Work with credit analyst to hold/release sales orders in accordance with internal rules and regulations
- Manage the month end Accounts Receivable process
- Assist with information requests during audits
- Special projects and tasks as directed
