Job Description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive management team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring financial stability, and driving the company s financial strategy. The CFO will manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and compliance to support the company s long-term objectives and growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies, objectives, and policies to support the company s overall strategic goals.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive management team based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification, and revenue/expense analysis.
  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
    • Manage cash flow, investment activities, and risk management.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
    • Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development within the finance department.
  • Compliance and Governance:
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and standards.
    • Oversee internal and external audits, and implement improvements based on audit findings.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and provide guidance and support.
    • Communicate financial performance and strategies to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership position.
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting in the Restaurant industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
  • Attributes:
    • High level of integrity and dependability.
    • Strong work ethic and the ability to handle complex financial issues.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and drive change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Restaurant Industry.
  • Previous experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and investor relations.
