Civil Construction Estimator

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Civil Construction Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure bids are competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
• Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities related to project costs.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
• Maintain an organized database of historical cost data for future reference.
• Monitor market trends and pricing for materials and labor to provide competitive estimates.
• Assist in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
