Commercial Construction Project Manager

Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in commercial construction projects and is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee a wide range of commercial construction projects.

Job Summary: As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of various commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and team coordination. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and a commitment to delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure project objectives, scope, and goals are clearly defined and communicated to the project team and stakeholders.

  2. Team Leadership and Coordination:
    • Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing project team, including subcontractors and vendors.
    • Effectively communicate project expectations and responsibilities to team members and ensure they are met.

  3. Budget and Cost Control:
    • Monitor project financials, track expenses, and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on budget.
    • Implement cost-effective measures and proactively address budget deviations.

  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all construction work meets quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any potential issues.

  5. Schedule Management:
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones and tracking progress.
    • Effectively manage any delays or disruptions, implementing strategies to keep projects on schedule.

  6. Client and Stakeholder Relations:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
    • Address client concerns, provide regular project updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  7. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as necessary.
