Compensation Analyst

Job Overview:

As a Compensation Analyst you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the company's compensation structure. You will be responsible for analyzing compensation data, conducting market research, and making recommendations to ensure our compensation packages attract, retain, and motivate top talent. You will work closely with HR and other departments to ensure that our compensation strategies align with the company's overall objectives and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compensation Analysis: Conduct regular analyses of the company's compensation programs to ensure they remain competitive and equitable.

  2. Market Research: Research industry compensation trends and benchmarking data to ensure that the company's compensation packages are in line with the market.

  3. Job Evaluation: Evaluate and classify positions within the organization to determine their appropriate compensation levels.

  4. Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data, and assist in the development and management of compensation databases.

  5. Salary Surveys: Participate in salary surveys to gather data for benchmarking and competitiveness analysis.

  6. Policy Development: Collaborate with HR and management to develop and implement compensation policies and guidelines.

  7. Payroll Support: Work closely with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation-related data.

  8. Compliance: Stay informed about labor laws and regulations related to compensation to ensure the company's practices are in compliance.

  9. Reporting: Generate reports and presentations for senior management on compensation-related topics.

  10. Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special compensation-related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CCP, PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

  • 4+ years of experience in compensation analysis or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  • Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and relevant laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing business needs.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
