BIM Modeler (MEP)
We are seeking an MEP BIM Modeler who will work in a team environment to develop accurate, constructable, coordinated, and timely mechanical piping and plumbing models and installation drawings that support the construction team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and layout piping systems in conformance with required deliverables
- Effectively and proactively communicate with project managers, project engineers, and field foremen during the design, coordination, and construction process.
- Communicate areas of deficiency/gaps along with proposed solutions (RFI s) on projects to support timely completion of the work.
- Participate in interactive planning meetings to help develop scopes and schedules
- Participate in GC-led clash detection/coordination meetings with other trades
- Responsible for producing all documents on time and within budget.
- Create deliverables consistent with company and project requirements.
- Work directly with 3rd party VDC subcontractors to coordinate quality deliverables and maintain project schedules.
- Participate in monthly jobsite walks to review constructability and quality of deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Drafting certificate or 1 year experience in drafting/detailing in Revit
- Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of plumbing/mechanical piping systems
- Solid Microsoft Office experience
- Knowledge of multi-discipline project design execution and construction methods
- Extensive working knowledge of Revit, Revit plug-ins, Navisworks, clash detection, and Dynamo scripts
- Experience working with GTP Stratus to process spools and work packages
