Electrical Estimator

We are searching for an Electrical Estimator. The estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on projects under direct supervision for service as required by clients documents.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and scope/requirements.
• Prepares budget by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
• Evaluate offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; and negotiating price.
• Interact with the customer to drive sales and validate expectations are understood and met.
• Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must have a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access
• Must have strong math skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years experience (10 years preferred) in Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing
