Electrical Journeyman

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Journeyman to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. As an Electrical Journeyman, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a variety of settings, ensuring all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.

$25-$40/hr Based on Experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts and system configurations.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform diagnostic testing to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Install and connect wiring, conduit, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
• Ensure all electrical work meets safety standards and complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Document all work performed, including electrical diagrams, material usage, and time spent on each job.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely project completion.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less-experienced electricians as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician License (required).
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex electrical issues.
• Familiarity with a wide range of electrical tools and equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and wire strippers.
• Strong understanding of wiring, circuit protection, grounding, and electrical testing methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with industrial or commercial electrical installations.
• Knowledge of advanced automation systems or renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, wind, etc.).
• Certification in specialized areas, such as low-voltage systems, control systems, or fire alarm systems.
