Estimator / Senior Estimator - Multi-Family
Job Description
Our client is urgently seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator/Senior Estimator for their Multi-Family Residential Sector.
Experience
- 2-3 Years of experience in Large Multi-Family Residential / Apartments / Senior Housing/HUD/OFHA required.
- Experience in Larger Multi-Family / Apartments /HUD/OFHA/ Senior Housing Estimating
- Review / Analyze and Correct Other’s estimates.
- Ability to present cost information to a client in a professional manner
- Preparation of presentation documents
- Analyzing Bids and Scopes
- Set up qualified Subcontractor Bid Lists and willing to call the subs and get them to bid
- Ability to compete detailed On Screen Takeoff
- Strong Subcontractor Relationships
- Strong Owner and Architect Relationships
- Understanding of Project Staffing and General Condition Requirements
- Ability to develop preliminary preconstruction schedules
- Ability to develop Value Engineering Ideas and associated costs.
- Ability to research specified materials related to the project and find alternatives as required
- Ability to Lead, Create and Complete Entire Project Estimates
- Knowledge of current market pricing / unit pricing
- Bachelor Degree in Construction Management or similar
- Thorough knowledge of construction cost, estimating and purchasing
- Strong communication, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
- Sharp analytical skills
