Our client is a leading provider of high-quality machinery solutions. They specialize in designing, manufacturing, and servicing cutting-edge machinery across various industries, from manufacturing to agriculture. They are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their team and help ensure their clients' machinery operates at peak performance.
Position Overview:
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance services for our machinery. You will travel to customer locations to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and configure machinery at customer sites according to specifications and company guidelines.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to service calls and provide timely and effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, utilizing diagnostic tools and technical manuals as needed.
- Perform repairs and component replacements, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with customers to provide training on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and customer communications, accurately and comprehensively.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to provide feedback on product performance, reliability, and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, preferably in the machinery industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused attitude with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
