Lead Superintendent (Multifamily Construction)

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Superintendent or Traveling Assistant Superintendent with multifamily experience to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Superintendent with proven experience in multifamily construction to support the successful execution of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Traveling Superintendent role requires flexibility to work across various project locations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Coordination: Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising all on-site construction activities for multifamily apartment complexes, including site preparation, framing, MEP systems, finishes, and closeout.
• Team Management: Supervise and direct subcontractors, laborers, and vendors to ensure adherence to project schedules, plans, and specifications.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets company standards, building codes, and client expectations.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce site safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Schedule Management: Monitor project progress, update schedules, and report delays or issues to the Project Superintendent or Project Manager.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other project documentation.
• Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve on-site challenges, coordinating with the project team to address issues promptly.
• Client Interaction: Represent the company professionally in interactions with clients, architects, and inspectors.
• Travel (Traveling Superintendent Only): Willingness to travel and work at various project sites across the country, with potential for extended stays at project locations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multifamily construction, with a focus on apartment complexes or similar projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Travel Requirements (Traveling Superintendent): Ability to travel frequently and work at various project sites, with reliable transportation and flexibility for extended assignments.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Certifications: OSHA 10/30 certification preferred; other relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR) are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an active construction environment, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
