Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Reports To: Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Manager
Summary:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their healthcare team. The LPN will be responsible for providing basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Assist with the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the RN or physician.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Clinical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Document patient care interventions, observations, and outcomes.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans.
- Patient Education:
- Provide patients and their families with information about medications, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in North Carolina.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
