Machine Operator - Metal (Aluminum) Fabrication


Shift: Day Shift. Hours 7:00am-3:30pm.


Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator with experience in aluminum metal fabrication to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machinery used in aluminum fabrication processes. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines to ensure the production of high-quality components that meet our specifications and standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate machinery used in aluminum fabrication, including but not limited to cutting, bending, and forming machines.
  • Interpret and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production of parts.
  • Conduct regular machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
  • Monitor the production process, performing quality checks to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings and perform minor repairs as necessary to maintain efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Familiarity with various metal fabrication machinery and tools.
  • Experience with CNC milling machines is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certification or training in CNC machining.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

  • The role involves working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and potential safety hazards. Proper safety gear and protocols are mandatory.
