Machine Operator
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator with experience in maintenance and troubleshooting to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machinery. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines to ensure the production of high-quality components that meet our specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machinery used in aluminum fabrication, including but not limited to cutting, bending, and forming machines.
- Interpret and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production of parts.
- Conduct regular machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
- Monitor the production process, performing quality checks to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings and perform minor repairs as necessary to maintain efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in the continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a machine operator in a metal fabrication environment.
- Familiarity with various metal fabrication machinery and tools.
- Experience with CNC milling machines is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certification or training in CNC machining.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- The role involves working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and potential safety hazards. Proper safety gear and protocols are mandatory.
