Job Description
Production Shift Supervisor
Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to join their team at their state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the production shift, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and achievement of production targets.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing environment.
- Monitor manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting regular audits and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with other shifts and departments to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management.
- Track key performance metrics, prepare shift reports, and contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing sustainability.
- Handle employee relations matters on the shift, including attendance, discipline, and conflict resolution in line with company policies.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production setting, preferably in plastics, packaging, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems for reporting and communication.
