Mechanical Engineering Manager
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, and a passion for innovation. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Design Oversight: Review and approve designs, providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to facilitate integrated product development.
- Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, balancing workload and ensuring team members have the tools and support needed to succeed.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices in engineering processes and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance product development and performance.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
