Mechanical Field Service Representative
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Field Service Representative to join their team. As a Mechanical Field Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to clients in various locations. Your primary focus will be on diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment. You will also be required to perform installations, inspections, and upgrades as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites to perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement solutions to complex technical problems.
- Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Document all service activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used, accurately and promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in mechanical engineering to continuously improve service delivery.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools needed for service calls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Representative or similar role, preferably in the mechanical engineering or industrial equipment industry.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor.
- Certifications or training in specific mechanical systems or equipment (e.g., HVAC, pumps, turbines) is a plus.
