Multi-Family Construction Superintendent

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Family Construction Superintendent to oversee the successful completion of their multi-family residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of multi-family construction processes and best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of multi-family residential construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
2. Develop and maintain project schedules, including the sequencing of tasks and coordination of subcontractors, to meet project deadlines.
3. Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality control measures.
5. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
6. Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and change orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
7. Manage and supervise construction personnel, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
8. Prepare and submit progress reports, budget updates, and other project documentation to stakeholders as required.
9. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including owners, developers, consultants, and regulatory agencies, to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
10. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in multi-family residential construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects of similar size and complexity.
3. Thorough knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials, with a focus on multi-family residential construction.
4. Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of construction professionals.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
6. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
8. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
9. Ability to travel to project sites as required.
10. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
