Multi-Family Construction Superintendent


Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in multi-family residential projects. They are seeking an experienced and dedicated Multi-Family Construction Superintendent to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of multi-family construction processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Location: Columbus, but also willing to travel as needed.
  • Coordination drawing review
  • coordinating materials with field and design requirements
  • Work with project team to deliver a quality project on time and on budget.
  • Experience with material lead time tracking required.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee all stages of multi-family construction projects from inception to completion.
    • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
    • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • On-Site Supervision:
    • Direct and supervise on-site construction activities.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
    • Conduct regular meetings to update the team on project progress and address any concerns.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Monitor project budgets and control costs.
    • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
    • Approve purchase orders and manage inventory.
  • Quality Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures.
    • Ensure all work meets the company s high standards and client specifications.
    • Address and rectify any quality issues promptly.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
    • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including local authorities and community members.
    • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in construction management, with a focus on multi-family residential projects.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or LEED accreditation are a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficient in project management software and construction technology.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
