Job Description

Part-Time Senior Accountant (20-25 hours a week)


We are seeking a Part-Time Senior Accountant that will work 20-25 hours per week, on a Temp To Hire basis.



Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate and coordinate assignments for monthly controllership functions which may encompass AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement preparations and monthly reporting as needed.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end financial reporting package to parent company adhering to deadlines (income statement, balance sheet, direct method cash flow, etc).
  • Record financial transactions in multiple accounting systems.
  • Research issues and respond to business unit leadership and staff questions in a simple fashion.
  • Analyze, interpret, and understand financial data to ensure reported amounts are accurate and aligned with expectations.
  • Support the review of business transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams across different business units and finance to review accruals, journal entries, and other accounting transactions.
  • Prepare annual budget and monthly forecast for one legal entity and assist where needed for the other entities.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Qualifications


  • Experience in QuickBooks
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to remain solution focused during challenging situations.
  • Self-directed personality with attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate accounting concepts to non-accounting audiences.
  • Ability to work independently as well as cultivate an effective team dynamic.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
