Payroll Specialist
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and accurate payroll processing. You'll manage biweekly payroll, generate necessary reports, and collaborate with our communities on payroll-related issues.
Essential Job Functions (Key Tasks and Responsibilities):
- Process biweekly payroll for all team members (multi-state, multiple locations, primarily in the Midwest)
- Process garnishments and income withholding orders
- Complete employment verifications
- Process and manage unemployment claims
Required Skills/Abilities
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor s degree in related field preferred.
- Proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow, UKG and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Knowledge of Payroll processes and procedures and wage laws a must.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
