Production Specialist


Our client is a leading manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Specialist to join their team. The Production Specialist will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of production procedures, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and manage production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders and adherence to production targets.
  2. Coordinate with production team members to allocate resources effectively and optimize workflow.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
  4. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  5. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements, and collaborate with management to implement solutions.
  6. Train new production team members on standard operating procedures and best practices.
  7. Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
  8. Document production activities, including any deviations from standard procedures, and maintain accurate records.
  9. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  10. Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure adequate supply of materials and components for production.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
  2. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and procedures.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  5. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  8. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  9. Forklift certification and experience operating manufacturing equipment (preferred).
