Manufacturing Production Supervisor


Our client is a leading corporation in the Manufacturing Industry. They are seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team. The Manufacturing Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and within budget. This role involves coordinating the activities of production workers, implementing production schedules, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight:
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers.
    • Ensure production schedules are met and production goals are achieved.
    • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Team Management:
    • Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff.
    • Assign tasks and set performance goals.
    • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
    • Foster a positive and safe working environment.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure products meet quality specifications and standards.
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
    • Address and resolve any quality issues that arise.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
    • Work with the production team to develop and refine manufacturing processes.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforce safety policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure availability of materials.
    • Maintain production equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
    • Optimize resource allocation to maximize production efficiency.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and maintain production reports and records.
    • Analyze production data and generate reports for management.
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities and employee performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
