Water/Wastewater Project Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Construction Project Coordinator for Water/Wastewater projects is responsible for supporting project managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing water and wastewater construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and municipal agencies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Track project progress, budgets, and schedules, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist in procurement and purchasing of materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality control.
- Monitor site activities and provide logistical support for field teams as needed.
- Assist in managing project risks, addressing potential delays or cost overruns proactively.
- Support project closeout procedures, including final inspections, as-built documentation, and financial reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination, preferably in water/wastewater projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, water/wastewater treatment systems, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the water/wastewater industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid driver s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with municipal or government water/wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of permitting and regulatory processes related to water infrastructure.
