Construction Project Executive


Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Executive to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. The Construction Project Executive will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of our construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and client satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the planning and execution of construction projects, including coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  2. Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and timelines, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure adherence to project goals.
  3. Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
  4. Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including assigning responsibilities, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  5. Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, conducting regular site inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and ensure project safety and quality.
  6. Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  7. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project-related paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  8. Identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and optimize project performance.
  9. Prepare and present project reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders, summarizing project status, progress, and key metrics.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to enhance project delivery and achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  3. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals and overcome challenges.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  5. Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
  6. Proficiency in project management software, such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to anticipate issues and develop proactive solutions.
  9. Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
  10. Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
