Job Description

Project Manager Environmental Remediation



We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Project Manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of environmental projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to grow within a collaborative and mission-driven team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior project managers and assist with managing environmental assessments, permitting processes, fieldwork coordination, and client communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing small to mid-sized environmental projects from initiation to completion
  • Coordinate and schedule field activities, including site assessments, sampling, and data collection
  • Support environmental reporting and documentation (e.g., Phase I/II ESAs, NEPA, EIS, EAs, etc.)
  • Prepare project timelines, budgets, and progress reports
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Assist in proposal development and client presentations
  • Perform QA/QC on deliverables under the direction of senior staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, or a related field
  • 1 2 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, project coordination, or fieldwork
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); GIS knowledge a plus
  • Willingness to travel for occasional field assignments
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA) is a plus
