Construction Project Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives, and deliverables.

  2. Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
    • Identify and address potential budgetary concerns or deviations from the original plan.
    • Procure necessary materials, equipment, and subcontractors within budgetary constraints.

  3. Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to optimize performance and productivity.

  4. Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure construction projects meet industry standards and client expectations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.
    • Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality standards.

  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
    • Monitor and address safety concerns to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process in a timely and efficient manner.

  6. Client Communication and Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
    • Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business.
    • Negotiate contracts and change orders as needed, ensuring alignment with project objectives and budget constraints.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
