We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join a dynamic dental team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
• Conduct oral health assessments, including charting and recording patients' dental conditions and concerns.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide education and guidance to patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall oral hygiene practices.
• Assist in the identification and prevention of periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other oral health issues.
• Administer local anesthetics and other procedures under the supervision of the dentist.
• Perform fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive procedures as indicated.
• Educate patients on the importance of oral health and its connection to overall well-being.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental practice management software.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Support the dentist during exams and procedures, providing chairside assistance when necessary.
• Collaborate with other dental professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies through continuing education.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid and current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
• Experience: Previous experience in a clinical dental hygiene role preferred but not required.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, techniques, and dental instruments.
  • Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental X-rays.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate patients in a clear, compassionate manner.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with dental office management software is a plus.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform dental procedures.
