Robot Programmer

Position Overview: As a Robot Programmer, you will play a crucial role in designing, programming, and optimizing robotic systems to enhance industrial automation processes. You will work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to develop innovative solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and safety in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Robotic Programming: Develop, write, and debug robotic programs using industry-standard programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, or specific robot manufacturer languages) to ensure precise and efficient robot movements and tasks.

  2. Integration: Integrate robotic systems with other automation equipment and control systems, such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), to create seamless production processes.

  3. Simulation: Utilize simulation software to model and test robotic systems before deployment, ensuring optimal performance and avoiding potential issues.

  4. Calibration and Maintenance: Set up and calibrate robot systems, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot technical problems to ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime.

  5. Safety Compliance: Ensure that robotic systems meet safety standards and protocols, implementing safety measures to protect both operators and equipment.

  6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of robot programs, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference and continuous improvement.

  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to design and implement robotic solutions that meet project goals and timelines.

  8. Training: Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on robot operation, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting.

  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in robotics and automation to recommend and implement improvements in our automation processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in industrial robot programming and integration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in industrial robotics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of robotic safety standards and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and automation control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
