Entry Level Construction Safety Manager

**SOLID BONUS POTENTIAL**


Compensation starting at $50K - *Must be willing to travel, no overnight travel required

Our client is a prominent steel construction company specializing in the design, fabrication, and erection of structural steel for diverse projects, ranging from commercial buildings to industrial facilities.They are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Safety Manager to join the team.

Job Summary:

The Entry-Level Safety Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall safety efforts on our construction sites. You will work under the guidance of experienced safety professionals to help develop and maintain safety programs, conduct training, perform safety inspections, and contribute to a culture of safety excellence within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Program Support: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  2. Training Assistance: Support safety training for employees and subcontractors, including orientation, hazard recognition, and emergency response training.

  3. Safety Inspections: Participate in safety inspections and audits of construction sites, equipment, and tools, identifying potential hazards and helping to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  4. Incident Response: Assist in investigating and reporting safety incidents and near misses, and contribute to the development and monitoring of corrective actions.

  5. Emergency Preparedness: Contribute to the development and maintenance of emergency response plans and participate in emergency drills and training.

  6. Regulatory Compliance: Learn and stay up-to-date with safety regulations, and assist in ensuring the company's compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards.

  7. Safety Record Keeping: Help maintain safety records, reports, and statistics and support the preparation of required reports for regulatory agencies.

  8. Safety Culture: Contribute to the promotion of a strong safety culture throughout the organization, encouraging personal responsibility for safety among all employees.

  9. Safety Communication: Work collaboratively with project managers, superintendents, and experienced safety personnel to communicate safety expectations, best practices, and initiatives.

  10. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to gain expertise in safety management and the construction industry.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • A strong desire to develop a career in safety management, especially within the construction industry.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to learning and growing in the field.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
