Our client is a leading construction firm dedicated to excellence and innovation in every project we undertake. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Manager to join their team and help us uphold their commitment to a safe working environment.
Position Overview:
The Construction Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety management and a proven track record of promoting a culture of safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide safety training and orientation for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, including safety manuals, reports, and records.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns and implement safety measures.
- Stay current with changes in safety regulations and industry trends to ensure company practices are up-to-date.
- Promote a culture of safety through continuous education and proactive safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- OSHA Certification (30-hour or 10-hour) required; additional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) are a plus.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
