Our client is urgently seeking a Senior Accountant with a focus on audit to join their dynamic and growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of audit engagements, lead audit teams, and contribute to the overall success of clients and the firm.
Job Overview:
The Audit Senior Accountant will play a key role in planning and executing audit engagements, reviewing work performed by staff accountants, and providing guidance and support to audit teams. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Planning and Execution:
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.
- Develop audit programs and testing procedures to assess internal controls and financial statements.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for audit focus.
- Perform complex audit tasks and provide guidance to audit staff.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze financial statements and account balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of audit findings and recommendations.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Address client inquiries and provide support throughout the audit process.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and train audit staff, providing feedback and guidance to support their professional growth.
- Review work performed by staff accountants and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist in recruiting efforts and contribute to the development of the audit team.
- Compliance and Professional Standards:
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards, regulations, and firm policies.
- Stay updated on changes in auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry trends.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining CPA certification.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in public accounting with a focus on audit.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities and experience in managing audit teams.
Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000 yearly based on experience.
