Senior Accountant
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team and contribute to growth and success.
Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and financial analyses.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely payment of all taxes.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
