Electrical Senior Project Manager


Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Senior Project Manager to lead their electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and leadership. They will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Electrical Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.


Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budget estimates.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of electrical projects.
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
  1. Resource Management:
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables.
    • Manage staffing requirements, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation of project team members.
    • Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as needed to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  1. Budget and Cost Control:
  • Establish project budgets and track expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to minimize project expenses.
    • Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Define quality standards and ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with project specifications.
    • Address any deviations or deficiencies promptly to maintain project integrity and client satisfaction.
  1. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project sponsors, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and key deliverables.
    • Facilitate effective communication among project team members to foster collaboration and alignment.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact on project objectives.
    • Monitor and evaluate risk factors throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting plans as necessary to mitigate emerging threats.
    • Proactively communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of potential risks and mitigation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in electrical project management, preferably in a senior role.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PE (Professional Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on proactive risk management.
