Senior Plumbing Project Manager / Estimator


  • Must live in or around the Charlotte, NC region.
  • Frequent travel required (50%+), primarily throughout the Southeast
  • Industrial construction experience preferred (freezer/cold storage, office buildouts, etc.)


Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Project Manager / Estimator specializing in plumbing to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing plumbing projects and estimating costs, ensuring successful project delivery while meeting client expectations and company standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of plumbing projects from planning and execution to completion. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze project specifications and scope to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and report on financial performance. Ensure adherence to budget constraints and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on project timelines and budgets.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all plumbing work meets local codes and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of [5+] years of experience in plumbing project management and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
