Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction
Our client is a leading commercial construction firm specializing in innovative and high-quality building projects. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful completion of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Lead the planning and implementation of commercial construction projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop full-scale project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Manage project budget, schedule, and resources.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of project teams, including subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide clear direction and support to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project.
- Quality and Safety Management:
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures.
- Oversee the safety program and ensure a safe working environment.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Financial Oversight:
- Monitor project financial performance, including cost control and cash flow management.
- Approve project expenditures and manage contracts and change orders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
