Senior Project Manager Industrial Construction
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead and manage large-scale industrial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of industrial construction (e.g., manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, power plants) and a strong background in project planning, financial oversight, safety, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of industrial construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, quality control, and client communication.
- Oversee project delivery to ensure it meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and cost forecasts.
- Monitor job site safety and compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and vendor contracts.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, including Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and resolve issues proactively.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master s degree a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in industrial projects.
- Proven track record of delivering complex industrial construction projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), and budgeting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of office and field environment; regular site visits required.
- Travel to project sites as necessary (may be regional or national).
- Ability to work extended hours during peak project phases.
