Job Description

Construction Superintendent


Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Monitor project progress and performance and take corrective action as needed to address issues and ensure project goals are met.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
    • Provide guidance, direction, and support to project team members, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  1. Safety Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Provide safety training and support to project teams to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that construction work meets quality standards and specifications.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.
    • Work closely with project teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  1. Client Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders on construction projects.
    • Provide regular updates and progress reports to clients, addressing any concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
  • Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
