Commercial Construction Project Manager (TI)
Our client is a reputable commercial general contractor specializing in tenant improvement (TI) and interior build-outs for office, medical, retail, and light industrial spaces. they are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team and lead multiple commercial TI projects from pre-construction through closeout.
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of commercial tenant improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment handling multiple small to mid-sized projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of TI projects ranging from $100K to $5M
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and property managers to define scope, budget, and schedule
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
- Solicit and manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Review and manage contract documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Ensure projects adhere to company standards for quality, safety, and compliance
- Maintain and update project schedules using MS Project or similar tools
- Conduct site visits, progress meetings, and punch list walkthroughs
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding job progress, issues, and solutions
- Ensure timely project closeout, turnover, and warranty coordination
Qualifications:
- 3 7 years of experience in construction project management, specifically with commercial tenant improvement projects
- Strong knowledge of building codes, interior systems, MEP coordination, and permitting processes
- Experience with fast-track schedules and occupied space renovations
- Proficient in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings
- Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
