Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction
Our client is a leading commercial construction firm with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects and is seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Superintendent to join their team.
Job Summary: As a Traveling Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the construction process at various project sites within the designated region. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring that timelines and milestones are met.
- Monitor and control project budgets, expenses, and resources.

Site Supervision:
- Provide on-site leadership and supervision to construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and quality of work.

Communication:
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, challenges, and resolutions.
- Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.

Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet or exceed project specifications.
- Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet company standards.

Problem Solving:
- Proactively identify and address potential challenges or obstacles to project success.
- Collaborate with teams to develop effective solutions to complex issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a proven track record as a Superintendent.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
